October 2006

Although we are having a hard time believing it, "A Captivating Christmas" 2006 is less than 30 days away! The box office officially opens November 1st, but you may begin calling now to reserve tickets. It is reserve seating again this year, so if you plan to sit with others, you will want to order them in a group. Call 582-8235 for tickets!

There is already a good buzz surrounding the concert this year, so plan to reserve tickets as early as possible. Last year we filled the bottom level of the theatre, which is over 500 seats. The balcony holds another 300, and we did have overflow last year.

There are great things in store for the concert, including ballet dancers, CMN children's choir, and of course a brilliant collection of musicians and vocalists.

Returning musicians include:
* Pianists Ryan Egan and Will Prines who combined to arrange the vast majority of the music from last year’s concert
* Host, vocalist, and surprise comedian Doug Lund
* Superb tenor Shawn Cable
* Pianist and very talented singer Kris Lauseng
* Classical guitarist Robert Schneidewind, who was very instrumental in my latest demo work
* Maxim Kozlov, principal cellist for SD Symphony, and probably the best the cellist I have ever heard live
* Christine Egan, excellent Symphony violist

New additions this year:
* Erin Hoiland, Harpist and multi-talented instrumentalist
* Gid and Gabe Carlisle, talented violist and violinist from the symphony
* Gabriel Rivero, outstanding international opera singer

Come prepared for a very entertaining evening!

Be watching for the television ads which will run on Midcontinent cable and KELO.
